Development Program
Throughout the year VIDA are always finding avenues to offer young people the opportunities for early employment. Our Young Leadership Mentoring Programme is targeted for young people between the ages of 15-21, who have the drive and passion to begin work experience from community environments. A tailored pathway has been built by young community leaders, to help develop key life skills that are transferable for employment along side full/part time education.

Trust is crucial to our success and through dedicated time away from the class timetable our mentors develop relationships with our mentees and explore wellbeing, behaviour and values which we then tailor our interventions and develop a co-design programme.
The YLDP offers the mentee a series of responsibilities and are recognised for positive behaviour, we also ensure the mentee celebrate their own development and understand how to transfer and replicate that outside of the programme.
